HOW WE WORK
Because It's Right pursues random and often anonymous acts that exemplify empathy, justice, and kindness.
In addition, one of the projects of Because It's Right is the East River Reading Room in Madison, Connecticut. This unique venue provides a place for the community to gather in groups small or large, in celebration or reflection, in song or in solitude.
BECAUSE WE CAN
One of the main reasons Because It's Right was founded in 2017 was simply because it was possible. When observing a world where there are small acts that can change lives, it only makes sense to do them whenever possible. As long as hope can be contagious and kindness can cascade, we should pursue them - because we can.
EAST RIVER READING ROOM
Place can be powerful. A place to convene or a place to take refuge or a place to feel connected with others or a place to connect with oneself. The East River Reading Room in Madison, Connecticut has an almost 150 history of being that powerful place for individuals and the community.
